Weather

The weather is ever changing at Nordkapp. It can shift from sunshine to overcast in an instant, from strong winds and back to calm again. Therefore it is important to take precautions. Check the weather forecast. Please contact us or the tourist information in Honningsvåg if you have any questions.

Parking

We have large areas dedicated to parking for all types of vehicles. Nordkapphallen takes no responsibility for any damage during parking due to weather or theft.

The road to Nordkapp

Nordkapp is located on the island of Magerøya, you must therefore pass through a underwater tunnel if you travel by road. There is no fee to pass the tunnel.

Road standards

The road to Nordkapp was built in 1956. The last stretch of road has a steep incline, many curves and narrow roads. Always adjust your driving to the conditions of the road.

Entrance Fee

There is an entrance fee to access the North Cape Hall.

Ticket valid for 12 hours

Admission to the North Cape Hall is granted for 12 hours.

Accommodation

You can stay at Nordkapp if you have a mobile home. We refer to a camping site for the use of tents. This is found in Skarsvåg and Skipsfjorden. For comfortable accommodation we recommend the following accommodation.

Mobile phones and internet connection

Nordkapp has coverage for mobile phones. Free WiFi is available indoors.

Currency and methods of payment

You can pay with Euros, British Pounds, and US Dollars. We accept payment by most credit cards.

Water and sanitary conditions

Toilets are available as long as Nordkapphallen is open. If you have a mobile home contact the reception for access to water.

Fuel and groceries

Petrol station and supermarkets are located in Honningsvåg, 35 kilometers from Nordkapp. We recommend our restaurants.

Ease of access

Nordkapphallen has a lift and wheelchairs. Please contact the reception if you need assistance.

Outside fences and climbing

We would strongly advise against climbing the mountain at Nordkapp. Soil and rock quality makes this extremely dangerous. Traffic outside fenced areas is prohibited.

First aid and ambulance

Our staff is trained in first aid. Call 113 or contact the staff if you need an ambulance.

Clothing in winter

It is important to dress properly in winter. To make your stay at Nordkapp as comfortable as possible, we recommend that you dress for the conditions. Bring warm and comfortable clothing. The use of wool or similar quality is recommended. Wear several layers of clothing to easily regulate the temperature by removing or adding layers. It is recommended that outerwear is lined and windproof. If you intend to stay outside for extended periods of time, we recommend the following: Winter shoes, gloves or mittens, hat, winter jacket and trousers that are windproof, woolen socks, long underwear and a thick sweater, preferably of wool or similar quality.
